Russia says US-North Korea War Rhetoric at Peak Level
The Russian government is concerned about the threat posed by the United States (US) and North Korea (North Korea) due to high risks. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the war rhetoric both countries are already at the top.
"Unfortunately, the rhetoric in Washington and Pyongyang is now beginning to surpass the top position," Lavrov said. "We still hope and believe common sense will win," he said again.
In a forum for Russian students, Moscow's top diplomats were asked about how much risk war rhetoric is voiced by the US and North Korea. "The risk is very high, especially given the rhetoric," said Lavrov, as quoted by Reuters on Saturday (12/08/2017).
"The direct threat to the use of force has been heard, the talks (in Washington) are that there must be a preventive attack carried out in North Korea, while Pyongyang threatens to carry missile attacks on the US base in Guam. (Threats are unforgiving) And they are very worried, "Lavrov said.
"I would not guess what happened" if 'We will do anything to prevent this' if', "continued Lavrov.
"My personal opinion is that when you approach the point of a broken battle, a stronger and smarter side must take the first step of the danger threshold," the Russian Foreign Minister told Moscow state television.

He urged Pyongyang and Washington to sign a joint plan designed by Russia and China, where North Korea will freeze the missile test and the US and South Korea will impose a moratorium on large-scale military exercises.
"If this double freeze finally happens, then we can sit down and start from scratch, to sign the sheets that will emphasize respect for the sovereignty of all parties involved, including North Korea," Lavrov added.
